Sanlam: Shaping Sanlam's cloud architecture
Sanlam is modernising key mainframe based assets onto a more flexible, cost-effective technology stack. One of the early focus areas included the capabilities that support the money-out component of their retirement portfolios.
Sanlam's needed to move away from its existing mainframe towards a modern AWS-based architecture that could support future modernisation across the group.
Entelect played a strategic and technical role in shaping the cloud architecture from the outset. The focus was on making the right technology decisions early, with particular emphasis on cost management, cross-group reusability, standardised cloud patterns, and a foundation that could serve as a template for future mainframe modernisation initiatives.
