Ninety One: transforming Ninety One's trading system for real-time performance
Ninety One, a global asset manager, needed to migrate its order management capabilities to a real-time platform without disrupting daily trading activities or client reporting. We helped make that happen.
Ninety One needed to migrate its order management capabilities from their legacy T-1 trading platform – to a real-time investment management system. The migration had to preserve business continuity, maintain regulatory compliance, and protect the integrity of years of historical reporting data – all without interrupting daily trading operations.
Entelect joined Ninety One's technology team to orchestrate the migration between platforms. We enhanced their front-end interface to provide portfolio managers with a consistent experience while the back-end systems were transitioned to the new platform. The team transitioned back-end systems to the real-time platform using event-driven, real-time processing. A classification mapping engine was developed to align historical data with new formats, ensuring accurate multi-decade reporting continuity.
Zero trading errors: Trading errors were reduced by 7% in the first year of migration.
Real-time trading at scale: The platform now processes around thousands of trades a month, representing bilions of pounfd in value.
Enhanced compliance and reporting: Rich analytics, accurate historical data alignment strengthened regulatory reporting and operational oversight.
